Gary WestTrack Sprint Coach (CA/AIS) Gary enjoyed an accomplished decade-long career with several Australian-based cycling initiatives, a four-year stint with the Japanese Cycling Federation and a role with the United States Cycling Federation before returning to South Australia to take up the position of Head Coach at the South Australian Sports Institute. An Olympian in 1984, West competed in the points race and was an alternate on the gold medal-winning team pursuit squad at the Los Angeles Games. |

Martin BarrasWomen's Road Coach (CA/AIS) In the mid 90's Martin arrived from Canada and commenced working with the successful WA Institute of Sport cycling program. In 1999 he headed across to the UK to work with their 2000 Olympic sprint team. In 2001, Martin returned to work in the senior AIS/CA track position, coaching athletes such as Ryan Bayley and Anna Meares to Olympic Gold in 2004. After the Beijing Olympic Games Martin moved across to the role of Women's Road Coach. |
